Growing up, The Simpsons was more than just a cartoon it was part of the soundtrack of my childhood. This piece is my way of revisiting that nostalgia through a playful, contemporary lens.

At first glance, it’s Homer doing what Homer does best: indulging without a second thought. But look a little longer, and the composition starts to play tricks on your eyes. What initially reads as two oversized ice cream cones quickly becomes something entirely different. I love creating work that invites a double take, where humor and illusion collide.

The title, “Doh’nut Kill My Vibe,” is a playful nod to Homer’s iconic catchphrase while carrying a deeper message. It’s about protecting your peace, embracing joy without apology, and refusing to let outside negativity interrupt the moments that make life sweet.

Like many of my pieces, this painting reveals a second personality after dark. Under UV light, the fluorescent colors ignite, transforming the piece into an entirely new experience. I want my collectors to rediscover the artwork every time the lights change because the best art, much like our favorite childhood memories, never stops surprising us.
